Hiding a section from menu

I am playing around with section lists on our top menu bar at http://www.natorigin.co.uk/acatalog/test/index.html.

Initially I just had the standard one which was only showing the top level sections, so I have tried adding the version form the AUG which show top and 2nd level sections. However, in both cases it is showing section which I want hidden (they are used for descriptive text at the top of each section).

Is there a way to:
1) (preferred option) Use the standard version and get it to show 2nd level sections and to hide certain sections
2) Use the second version from the AUG but hide certain sections.

You should use fragments for your descriptive text and not sections, better setup that way and you won't get your nav woes either.

If I use fragments they always appear after the sections, how do I get them to appear above the sections.

Reverse your top and bottom sub section list layouts in site options.

Looks like you are using collapso, you'd need to either contact Norman to see if some custom work can be done, check the settings that you have to see if already possible or have a look on his support forums to see if it has been asked and answered before.

I know norlist can go three deep, not sure on collapso, probably not without custom work is my gut feeling.

You're using Accordion Menu for your left hand Section menu. This is resolutely a 2 level menu. Top and first sub-sections only.
