Epos - Business - Sage integration

    Hi Guys

We currently use Actinic Epos and Actinic Business Version 9 and SAGE line 50 although there is a link from Actinic Business to SAGE there isnt one for Actinic EPOS to sage does anyone know of an EPOS system that will link to sage and actinic business so we can keep all the stock info in SAGE

    Thanks in advance

We also are running Actinic Business Plus , Sage Line 50 and recently purchased Actinic EPOS. After only a few days , we have already came to the realisation that the purchase of Actinic EPOS was a mistake due to the none integration with Sage Line 50. We had hoped of finding a work-around.

All our products also have options/permutations for sizes , so this makes it none practical even to create the products in EPOS and transferring the products back to EC , so we have to create products in EC , then transfer to EPOS and only then can we create Purchase Orders.

I would really only recommend EPOS if you were not hoping to integrate into Actinic Business or Sage. Even thou there is a link for EC , i have found it useful for only going from EC to EPOS , EPOS to EC is very poor.

If you come across any other software please let me know...

Have been using Actinic Business & Sage L50 for the last 3 years & almost purchased Actinic ePos a few months on the understanding that all three integrate well. Looking closer, I felt it didn't do so and therefore opted for Microsoft RMS. Agree RMS isn't great but as I sell shoes, I can't do without fashion matrix. Its something that is lacking in both Sage as well as Actinic. Bottom line is that all these products on their own work very well (within limitations). However, try to integrate & getting them talking becomes a real nightmare.

      Couple of suggestions:

You can forego total integration and use the products by utilising their strengths only i.e. Use ePos for Stock Control & Sage purely for accounts.

Alternatively, you can look at Microsoft RMS as I know a couple of companies have developed add-ons that integrate with Sage Line 50. Not sure how good these are but found them quite expensive. You only get to know the limitations once you buy & start using them. Please note that RMS is quite dated & lacks numerous functionality. I only chose RMS because I needed Fashion Matrix, has simple database structure & uses MS Sql Server as the back-end database.

      Hope this helps.
