v10 and EPOS Link

I have 3 client snapshots that are causing me headaches. I can create a new site and import the snapshot and the site looks ok but after closing it, it will no longer open and catalog just hangs.

I think this is related to the EPOS Link looking for EPOS on the network as on first opening I get a warning message that it cannot find EPOS. The EPOS Link config is on the main toolbar.

Does anyone know how I can stop the site looking for EPOS or a way around this?

I've got a site the same at the moment with an EPOS link, i just switched it off in business settings (options tab) and had no problems since.
