    Navigation Bar background colour problem

    I've finally got round to upgrading from v9 to v10 (9.05 to 10.0.2 to be exact) and am having a problem that defies fixing. This relates to the background colour of the horizontal navigation bar which seems stuck at Hex 343434 (a very dark grey) whatever I set it to be. I'm using the "Advanced settings" theme, and the colour scheme is a custom one imported from the v9 site which worked fine. I know it's Hex 343434 through the use of Hex Colour Finder 3.0.

    How do I set the background colour? None of the advanced themes colours are set to Hex 343434 - although it's not obvious which us which the descriptions of what each colour is used for are not particularly good and could IMHO be a lot clearer. The navigation link text is black and cannot be read on the dark grey background.

    The v9 site is still live and can be seen here on a typical catalogue page:-

    The red band below the header image (mountains) is what I am trying to keep - and which is, in the V10 test version - dark grey.

    All help gratefully received.

    thanks

    Your V9 site is using inline style to load a background image for that horizontal banner:
    Code:
    <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="5" border="0" width="100%" class="secondbar" style="background-image: url("theme_secondbar_background.gif");">
    And theme_secondbar_background.gif is a small red graphic.

      Thanks Norman, that's sorted it. I simply replaced the background image file in V10 with that from v9 and it's all OK. The question is why was the V10 background image file different from that in V9? We may never know...

      Thanks again

        I had issues with cart and checkout colours when I upgraded, possibly worth a look with a dummy order...it seems V10 uses different methods to colour certain things, most were fixed in the stylesheet after comparing.
