Sections lost after a reorder

Hi

I hope there is an easy way to recover from this.

I added a few sections to my site this evening. When finished I changed the order of the sections. After doing this a number of sections are simply gone.

If I go back to the snapshot I will loose a lot of work, If I have to enter these sections in again it will also take a lot of work. Is there a way to recover them?

if not can I get just the missing sectins out of the snapshot I took earleir (I can load it on anther PC) and import them into Actinic.

First backup what you have live. Then on another pc import your last snapshot and export the catalog and import it on the live pc selecting update.

Always make lots of snapshots when moving sections and compact regularly.

If I import the catalog wont it overwrite the new sections I have just created?

FYI I have published to the web, so at the moment the site is perfect. Its just prior to reordering the side menu so has the new and the sections now lost from the live PC.

I dont suppose there is a way to bring the site back down back into Actinic?

Following your advice I seem to have the bulk of the stuff recovered. A few lost links but easy to redo from here.
