    V10 crashing opening orders - help

    Since this morning when attempting to open any order in V10 it crashes, very worrying. The only change made is a new router Today...

    I have imported last nights snapshot but without orders to retain those since yesterday - same issue.

    I have compacted repaired databases and the problem remains.

    Any advice greatly appreciated

    Try this

    Backup your very latest database then import the last good snapshot with orders and see if you can then open the orders. It might get you out of a pickle albeit at the expense of missing some order history info. You can then get hold of support and see if they can help you.

      By opening do you mean downloading orders or double clicking on them and can you open old orders or just new ones

      Is it possibly a speed related thing with the new router, can you go back to old one and try again

      Possible that new router has buggered up something in windows try actinic reload

        Imported yesterdays snapshot with orders and same issue (double clicking to view order) on office PC.

        I imported this same snapshot to the laptop and it works, strange. Still stuck though as I am trying not to lose 12 hrs of orders.

        Reinstalled Actinic on PC but no snapshot will open orders yet does on the laptop - will not publish to web from laptop though, great!!!

          Reinstalled old router and I can open orders - new router is NETGEAR N600 how on earth can that do this to Actinic?

              This is getting worse, just uploaded and its happening again, cant open any orders.

                does the new router have new firewall software installed?

                  Netgear routers (particularly the DG834GT) have caused problems for others. See http://community.actinic.com/archive...p/t-43285.html for one example.

                  Also search for "Netgear MTU" and you'll find another Netgear problem with some suggestions.

                    Thanks, I tried completely removing the new router software even from the registry, it does not seem related as this was not upload / retrieve problems as that still worked. The issue is that orders simply will not open.

                    I am running as an emergency measure from a Windows 7 laptop (which was not plain sailing either) and the older router, the new one is back in the box until I am brave enough to try again...
