Actinic v10.0.3 Release

We are pleased to announce the release of v10.0.3 of our ecommerce software products.

Version 10.0.3 fixes a significant number of issues from earlier Actinic releases. It also includes several changes aimed at improving performance, particularly for larger sites, and a further enhancement to Actinic Payments.

Impressive list of changes, I started reading and reading and it just kept going lol. Compact database problem with W7 still exists for me, but the rest seems good so far. Kaspersky still meddling and not happy I suspect. Congrats on a massive list of improvements though.

I can't snapshot in v10.0.3 release.

W7, standard site - dmp file created when snapshot completes. Perhaps someone else running W7 could try making a snapshot of standard store and let me know what happens, please?


W7, my own site - no dmp file - error message:

The changes you requested to the table were not successful because they would create duplicate values in the index, primary key, or relationship. Change the data in the field or fields that contain duplicate data, remove the index, or refefine the index to permit duplicate entries and try again.

I've been using Actnic since v6 and never had that happen!

That's very odd. I have a default site on a Windows 7 system and I've not had any problems generating snapshots. We have tested this release extensively on a variety of Windows 7 systems, and not seen that error.

Anyone else?

Xeon processor, 6MB Ram, W7 64-Bit Prof.
No problems snapshotting the default Site1, or re-importing it.

Thanks for the fast replies.

I have a dmp file for the default site snapshot, so I'll forward that to support. I tried uninstall and clean reinstall and the default site still won't snapshot.

I've resolved the second issue - Would appear to be a bug. Actinic had allowed me to have two section page names the same. v103 hadn't added "copy_of_" added automatically or warned me that there was another section with that page name. The error message during snapshot wasn't very helpful in finding this!

I just licensed a new site, it crashed trying to switch to it in the site's dialogue and it also crashed when i closed it down, but i can confirm that it did not stop me from snapshotting, that part went fine and worked OK.

There used to be a comprehensive check for duplicate page names on page creation, but we had to simplify it for performance reasons. That was in v9 AFAIR. If missed at that stage, it would be picked up on site or snapshot generation, but I agree that the message is too vague. We have a plan to fix that. But it's one of many things we have been asked for, and will have to take its turn in the queue, unfortunately.

Stock on extended info page

Hi

I still can not get the stock level to show on the extended info pages. This is with my site and the actinic standard site.

Has anyone else tried to get the stock level on the extended info pages.

Just found anther bug in V10.3. All the images on the extended info page are uploaded with the full path (that is on my PC).

My extended info page name is

/lighting/Crawford-Wall-Light-with-Alabaster-Glas-Drops.html

So the image path should be

/lighting/CRA0750.jpg

But actinic uploads this

/lighting/DAR/CRA0750.jpg

Has any one else check there extended info pages. This only happens when you have your images save in folder inside the actinic folder.

I will be not be updating to 10.3 !!!!!!!!!

I cannot replicate that here. Extended Info images whether in the Site folder or in a sub-folder of the site folder work fine when previewing and when uploaded on my 10.0.3.

Do you perhaps have some tweak added to your extended info image code?

On your live site, if I click the first product on the page you mention above, I see references to images in:


icons\jg-logo-wey-new.gif

Impex\CB125913_16.jpg

Impex-TN\CB225078_2WB-TN.jpg (appears twice)

I wonder if the problem with the JPG ones, which is the product image, is related to your fader or Magic Zoom code.
