Thanks for the reply.. but I dont think I explained very well.

Just to confirm, you can use external linking in conjunction with Real Time Stock control, but not with Auto Sync.

Thats all good... and it works for me. I link to an external spreadsheet and use RTSC.
I dont want to use Auto synchronisation anyway.. just the manual upload and download is fine. It all works.

But what about if I want to switch to multi-user. (with RTSC and Auto Sync off)

In single user mode you can also link to a spreadsheet, but spreadsheets cannot be used with external linking when running Actinic Business Plus or Actinic Enterprise with multiple users.

My question is If I want to use multiuser, (I cant link with a spreadsheet, as it says above.. ) can I link to a database? Like an access database, and still have RTSC work?

Will external linking to a database with multi-users work with RTSC (without autosync) ?

Yes, that's fine. In multi-user mode you can link to a database, just not to a spreadsheet.
