    Still no real time stock control in v10.03

    Hello,

    When we used Actinic Business v10.02 linked to Epos v3.11 using Link v3.11 real time stock control on our website would not work. We upgraded to v10 of the link and our Epos could not communicate with our Business Plus so after many hours of calls to Actinic support the only solution was to downgrade to v3.11.

    We have today upgraded our Actinic Business Plus to v10.03 and have it linked to Actinic Epos v3.11 with Actinic Link v9.02. Real time stock control still doesn't work!
    Before we risk upgrading the link to v10 one last time is anyone able to confirm that they have managed to successfully link Epos / Actinic and have real time stock control on their website working so that online stock levels are adjusted after sales are processed or goods booked in via Epos?

    If anybody has an idea of something we or indeed Actinic suport have missed I would be very gratefull for your suggestion.

    Hi Robert,

    I am running 10.03 ecommerce business plus and have it linked to Epos3.11

    Have no issues with the stock control. If i sell something at the front counter on the EPOS system , stock is immediately deducted in Ecommerce and within minutes the auto website stock sync has the website upto date.

      Thank you Alexander for the reply, cheered me up no end!

      We have upgraded our Actinic Link to v10 without fixing our issue. It must be something simple and I will call support this morning.

        within minutes the auto website stock sync has the website upto date.
        Have you got this turned on?

          Unfortunatley we do!

          Ecommerce now loads without the green progress bar and both Ecommerce and Epos now also run like treacle, not a good morning so far...

            OK. I'd say it definitely sounds like something you need to get Actinic support working on. There's clearly not much history of linking V10 RTSC and epos so limited knowledge around about what kind of thing can cause these problems.

              Unffortunatley after an hour on the phone with Actinic Support we are no nearer a solution either!

                I must add how impressed I have been with the support offered by Actinic to this problem.

                After the phone call yesterday morning I uploaded snapshots of both our EC and Epos for further investigation. Ian from support took the time to email me at 8.30pm last night with an update, nearly 12 hours later.

                Truly amazing service!

                    Robert,

                    Great to hear it's now working.

                    Could you ask Ian to explain on here how he sorted it? It would help anyone who experiences the same problem to know how to fix it.

                      That's a great idea.

                      Not wishing to continually moan, but....

                      Now it renders Epos and Ecommerce unusable for about 2 minutes every time it synchs, but support are working on this too.

                        I'm going to guess that's the database locking in operation while the RTSC is synching. I'm not sure I'm remembering rightly, but is your site one of the one's with a lot of products?

                          Hi Mike,

                          We only have a maximum of 1100 products at any one time, which I do not consider too large.

                          This morning RTSC failed and along with the endless waiting for stock synching rendered our Epos / Ecommerce unusable.

                          We have downgraded link to v9.02 which lets Epos / Ecommerce synch without issue and await Actinic support resolving our lack of RTSC and v10 usability.
