Changing the order of display items

Hi

I am wanting to move the line up of products as shown in diffferent sections. At the moment most are alphabetical, but special offers etc I want to move up the list. I have been told to drag rather than cut and paste, but when I try to drag they are not moving. I am concerned about cutting and pasting as I think this will affect the links to other sections:

On this page I want Seraquin to be top of the list.

If anyone can let me know how to do this, it would be appreciated

Take a snapshot first - then try holding the shift key down and then dragging the section.

These are a list of products, aren't they, not sections?

Either way, like Duncan says, snapshot before doing anything and then drag and drop.

Definitely don't cut and paste because Actinic is crap at it.

When you drag and drop, are they highlighting at all? There's no reason why this shouldn't work.
Unless they're being alphabetised by an outside source/add-on which is counter-acting it??
