    P&P Help needed

We currently have 2 shipping categories (Normal & Vouchers) using 1 Zone/Class (Standard Courier)

    Normal is priced at £4.99
    Vouchers is priced at £3.00

We have also set "Orders in this Zone/Class Free Over" to £85

Firstly we want to offer a "Pay & Collect" option

and then for certain items (due to courier restrictions) these need to be "Collect from Shop" ONLY but these are also over the £85 which then looks as though Shipping is free

Any ideas or help would be most appreciated

working from memory so might be slightly incorrcet - if you set the weight of those items that have to be collected way outside of you carrier weights (1000kg or something like that) you should be ok. there's a tick box for allow/disallow items over the set weights that needs to be set to not allow items to be sent by that carrier. set up "collect from shop" as a carrier option that's avaiable only for the heavy weight and upwards.

We have a pay and collect option but it's a bit of a problem. not many people that use are anywhere close to collect. We have the UK divided up into 4 zones which appear at the top of our country list and then right at the bottom after all the other countries we ship to is "customer collect". I can't work out how people accidentally manage to use that option. To be honest i think that with a single outlet i think it may be better to take phone orders or payment when the customer is in store.

If its the bottom choice in a list its quite likely to be selected because of scroll wheel mice.

that's one idea i came up with but equally i would have had orders being sent to vatican city prior to setting that up.
As it's only been used correctly twice in 6 months it doesn't seem to work for us - maybe it would work better for other industries.
