    Google Analytics V10

Apologies if this has already been posted but I’m unable to find a solution – I have implemented Google Analytics into my V10 site via the Marketing tab and results are being recorded.

Unfortunately its very intermittent and records some but not all of the sales. Im using PayPal as the checkout but was wondering at which point is the sales tracked in Google – does the customer need to click on a receipt page for the sale to be recorded in Google hence the reason why some sales are processed (I assume that not all my customers are therefore clicking on the receipt page)?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

    Paul

Thanks Darren - is there anyway around this? Its difficult to accurately record statistics if you have to rely on the customer selecting the receipt page, is there anyone else with a similar issue?

      Thanks

It's the only way the stats can work. They need the customer to land on the receipt page so they can record the order as paid.

It is a problem. There are suggestions that you can tell paypal to automatically send the customer back to the receipt page but I haven't really gone into the details to check it out.

as Mike said, sometime the auto return improves the stats but still the customer might close the browser after making the paymentr
