Free Magazine with orders over £40

As the title says, I want to give a free Magazine with every order over £40.

I am using Catalog v10.03 (if you have read earlier posts you may have guessed this)

I understand I have to create a product group of 1 item (the magazine in question).
I then set the trigger in Discounts and Surcharges..

then I get lost..

1st This can be done in Catalog?
2nd The help files are a little different from the program. What should i be looking at?
