    Referrer code and BASE HREF

    I've been trying to set up a referrer code on a clients Actinic store - following the instructions here.

    However I can't get it to work... when a link is clicked it loads the page but without any images or style sheets.

    I have spoken to Actinic and they told me the 'fix' was to make all my links (images/stylesheets etc..) to absolute links. I tried this, but it didn't work and in fact made the site look awful even for those not coming from the referrer link.

    I have a feeling it's to do with the BASE HREF.

    When I look at the source code of the page as a normal visitor it looks like:
    <Actinic:BASEHREF VALUE="http://www.domain.com/acatalog/" FORCED=0 />

    However when I look at it after I've clicked the referrer link it looks like:
    <BASE HREF="http:/%/">

    Is this why the referrer code isn't working, does anyone know how I can fix this?

    Thanks for any help or suggestions

        Why? This is a public forum and I was only suggesting that you post it so others might have the info they need to help. It's not fair to expect someone to deal with you privately and personally unless you're intending to hire them.

          Sorry that was sincerely not my intention.

          I haven't seen many real URL's posted and thought it was either against the board rules or just not good practice. Apologies

          The URL's in question:

          Normal URL: http://www.rhinogb.com/acatalog

          Referrer URL: http://www.rhinogb.com/cgi-bin/rs000....com/acatalog/

          thanks

            Both links above work fine for me. Tested in IE and FF.

            Maybe a caching or cookie problem at your end.

            Try using a clean PC or different browser that's never been on the site.

              This is odd, it is working for me now too. (must be the keyboard to floor connection )

              I'll send it back to the referring site and get them to try again.
              I wonder if there is anyway the referrers site could have affected this?

              Thanks you for your help
