Or demand software that works properly without bugs !!

Yes, thanks Tracey, that might be my only option..
Shame as it will be quite messy.. I thought I was being really clever and tidy keeping all the associated products hidden and tucked away

or, how about putting all your hidden products at the bottom of your very last UNhidden section.
That way you won't have to scroll through them all in the catalog tree
I have so many hidden products it would make for a HUGE section.
I had seperated out the hidden products into their associated sections to make locating them easier.

That's exactly how mine used to be set up. A number of hidden sections with subsections containing categories hidden products.

Obviously, it needs fixing, especially as it would seem that the move from V9 to V10 actually broke it. That part might be a good thing as it probably means it's more likely to be fixed.

        Mark,

I'm presuming that your website is arka-shop which I've just looked at.
It appears that you've gone for multiple products per page & therefore putting all associated products within that section would make it quite large & difficult to manage.

I sell shoes & with colour & size , we end up with lots of components. I decided to go for single product per page/section. Therefore I only have the master product visible but have all relevant associated products hidden underneath the section. This making it much easier to manage & can also switch off the section if the style gets sold out.

Have now started to split it further by colours i.e. FitFlop Pietra Sandals in Pewter would be a different section to FitFlop Pietra Sandal in Black.

I'll report back what the word is from the support team about this when they contact me. Yes it needs fixing.

            Thanks for the reply Nilesh,
Thats my live site you must have looked at.
            Thats v7.
The site I'm currently building is on v10.. thats the one one I'm having trouble with... Its not live online yet, but it will be set up very similar to the site you looked at.

Yes, a single product per page would make the content tree less complicated thats true. However, most people switch to one product per page for better search engine positions.. but I have excellent search engine positions already using multiple products per page.. so I'm not keen on changing the set-up... in case I dilute my page rankings.

            Thanks for the idea though.

Actinic support have now confirmed to me, as Jan said, that this is a bug...
and that its been logged (?)

They say that I must put my hidden products into a visible section as suggested by Jan and Tracey, to make it work.

Its not going to be pretty, and undoes all my conscientious work of grouping my hidden products and tidying them away.. not a happy bunny

Well at least it is working now.

Bit tiresome, as I've so many hidden products that I cant move them in one go... Actinic gives an out of memory message and crashes if I try to do that !
(and I've got loads of memory on my pc)

                I'm moving them in batches.
In which case the only option you're left with is to put all your hidden associated products at the bottom of the sections that your main products are in?
Thanks Tracey... When I initailly did this, all a main products associated products were appearing directly below each main product... making the main products scroll over pages and pages.. (One of the reasons I decided to move them to another folder) I didnt think to move all the hidden products down to the bottom. But its ok.. just not as tidy as I wanted.
                Thanks for the help everyone.

Don't forget to compact after moving them all.

                      Regards,
I'm on 10.0.3 and my hidden components are hidden and are in a hidden section and don't work however when I moved them to the product section they work.
