Files tf_a123.html?

My Actinic Server (acatalog) seems to be filled with files with the name tf_axxx.html.

Does anyone know why they are there? I have asked Actinic Support several times but have not received an answer.

I would prefer to remove these from SE indexing just in case they are causing an issue but I don't think I can do this with all definitions of robots.txt that I can find.

Access one of the pages via your browser and find out what they are first. If you look directly at it, you'll have far better idea what it is than anyone. If not recognised or not needed, get rid of them. I'm guessing at some addon or plugin used at some stage.

Indeed! - I am not sure this helps me though.

The problem would be easier to solve if the acatalog folder contained fewer files. It it did I would then be able to look at the creation date etc with CuteFTP!

Not sure i understand, you thought you had files that shouldn't be there, but they are in fact used on pages within your site, now you want to know the date they were created? They need to be there, so just leave alone. If you want to clear the server, then wipe the server and schedule a refresh at a quiet time. That will give you a server with just the files your site needs.

The text in quotes in my post was the complete page, the same text also appears on a 'normal' page on the site.

Perhaps you have some variable set up with file content as the type, you may then have added these files to the additional files list in Actinic for some reason.

They're from an add-on they commissioned from me in 2008.

It loaded Fragments via an XMLHttpRequest into tabs. The fragments were removed from the page body and saved as separate HTML files.

As I recall they had some large bits of text and only wanted them loaded on demand rather than the lot making their pages huge.
