    XML Product Import

    Hi All,

More and more of our suppliers are offering their product range via an XML file for importing into ecommerce site , does any know if this is possible with actinic ?

    Thanks,

I'm not sure this will be easy.

XML uses tags to identify the data whereas actinic expects the relevant data to be in specific fields (columns).

You could write a macro to read the XML and transfer the data into CSV columns. You'd then be able to import the csv data into Actinic.

It's not an enormous task, just depends how comfortable you are with excel macros.

If you have Excel 2007 or later you should be able to open the xml file from within Excel and it will format it into columns for you. That's only where the fun starts of course.
