Right folks - silly question.

Customer wants a shopping cart sorting out, however he will not use Windows in any format - uses Linux (ubuntu) on all systems and laptops.

So, the question is - can Acinic run on ubuntu, being that us uses a MS database.

I suspect not, so wil have to use eCommerce (sob).

Afraid not - however you may be able to run it in a virtual machine but then you would still need a windows license. It's a bit blinkered of your client to limit their commercial prospects in this way, but then I'm sure you said the same.

Just tried to run in Wine (Windows emulator) - installs fine but crashes when run, as think its trying access db.

Yep, did agree and say Windows OS is cac compared with Linux (as a note all our computers/laptops run Linus except for two which run XP), but it would only be on one machine. Oh well, piggin then.
