    order shipped email order complete

    Am I confused ?
    On v7 I'm sure the 'order shipped' email had to have been sent for an order to go into 'completed'
    On v10 orders go into 'order completed' even if the 'order shipped' email has not been sent...
    Is that right?

    I don't recall this being so. We certainly never sent any.

    I think the criteria for an order being moved to completed are:

    Full Payment Received (or refunded, if an order is cancelled)
    All Orderlines Shipped (or cancelled, (or possibly moved to a backorder?))
    Invoice Printed (or marked as printed)

    I don't believe there are any email-send requirements to move an order to completed, tbh

      Same as Tracey. I don't think there's ever been a requirement to send any emails for orders to go to completed.

        Interestingly, i recall it the other way in that an email did have to be sent, almost like a failsafe, i'd be recalling this on V8 if indeed i am remembering correctly, certainly in my head sending email and printing were part of the process to complete an order.

          I also seem to remember the pain of having to send an email to be able to complete as well in v7. I still have a site running v7 so will check when I get chance.

            Not as far as I can remember

            Like the rest of you, my memory is not brilliant, though I am pretty sure the order showed that it was completed, regardless of whether or not an order shipped email had been sent, V7, V8, V9 and V10.
