Actinic v10.0.4 Beta Release

We are pleased to announce that Actinic v10.0.4 is now in public beta test. Version 10.0.4 fixes several outstanding bugs in v10. It also adds fields for Brand and for three types of Product Identifier (EAN, UPC and ISBN), as required for submissions to Google Product Search from 3rd May 2011.

If you find any issues related to any of the fixes in v10.0.4, or that you did not experience with earlier versions of Actinic, please report them in our beta test forum by creating a new topic for each different issue.

NB: THIS BETA SOFTWARE IS OF TEST QUALITY ONLY and should not be used on a live production site. Actinic cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage which may result from such use. If during the testing period any problems are found, a new version will be issued as soon as possible.

The beta filename has 'Catalog' in the name, it's offputting if you have Business version, might be worth renaming to avoid any possible confusion.

The requirement is to provide a unique product identifier, of which there are several alternatives. We are building in support for EAN, UPN and ISBN. You can easily add others if required via the Library, just by copying and renaming one of the ones we provide.

Export the new Google Feed variables from 10.04 as a design element snapshot for clients to import into 10.02/03.

Any news on bugs carried over from V9 ? I.E. Business Multi User crashes from time to time, with 2 people working all day, probably happens 2 - 3 times. Thought V10 would solve this (was told it would by the salesman!) but obviously not and this is when processing orders etc, no design or content changes going on.

Hi Austin,

We are always working on bugs and annoyances, so I would always recommend to upgrade to the latest release.

Did you raise a support ticket when you reported the v9 crash, happy to investigate further.
