Missing dropdown menus in duplicate products

Help!

All the dropdown menus for e.g. size and colour are missing from some, but not all, of our duplicate products in various sections, but still visible when accessing the original product online

We have just moved some sections around - has this caused it?
Or is it to do with the Settings/Duplicate Fields configuration somehow, which I also had to fiddle with recently to make the breadcrumb trail work properly?

Oh, also - have also just noticed that since moving the sections around on Friday, it appears that actinic has changed the html name too. Some products I hadn't got around to changing yet to something more seo friendly were still called things like info11589.html, and now seem to have been re-named info_10_11589.html???
