Can't open Actinic Assistant.mxp file to install Dreamweaver Plug-in!

I need to install the Dreamweaver Plug-in with Version 10, however I can't open the Actinic Assistant.mxp file as my computer doesn't have anything to open this type of file. I've googled 'open an .mxp file' but can't find anything that will allow me to do this...

Can anyone help please?? I've installed the Dreamweaver Plug-in on Version 9 - so surely I should be able to do it on Version 10???!!

Do you have DW installed on your computer?
You need the Adobe/DW Extension Manager installed first - it is that which associates with the mxp file type.

Yes - as I said in my first post, I've used the Dreamweaver plug-in on Actinic version 9, and when I open Dreamweaver I have the Actinic menu across the top, but Version 10 is not an option under 'use version'....

So yes, I've already got the DW extension manager activated from a previous project (albeit Version 9 Actinic).

This is very frustrating as I'm waiting to install my design into Actinic so that I can get on with building the catalog for my customer....

      Heeeeelp!!

        Hi Louise

Do you see Macromedia Extension Manager in the Macromedia folder in the Start menu? If yes, are you able to install the mxp file using this? To clarify, click the arrow icon and browse to the Actinic Assistant.mxp in the Program Files\Actinic v10\Extensions\Dreamweaver\Actinic_Assistant folder and double click to select the mxp file.
