Partial Snapshot / Design Import Issue in 10.4?

On trying to import a partial snapshot or design import into Actinic 10.4 (Designer) from an earlier version of Actinic (10.3 downwards) I keep getting an error message stating the snapshot should be a design import.

On using the design import I get the same error.

Just to rule out the software I've uninstalled it, tried loading in 10.3 and works fine. When upgrade to 10.4 and import the error occurs again.

Full imports of complete websites work fine.

Is this just me? or have others experienced this issue?

From 10.0.4 onwards you have to do File / Snapshot / Import Design (instead of Import Site) if it's a Partial Site Design Snapshot.

Then you may find that 10.0.4 will still refuse to import a design if it's from V9 or earlier. Yet another restriction that wasn't in 10.0.3!

There's a way around this if you're stuck with a V8 / V9 file and have no V10 version:-

Open the older Snapshot's .acd in WinRAR and in the CATALOG_SITE folder there will be a file Act_DesignExport.txt. This is the Hierarchical file that contains the design. Save it with an appropriate name into your V10 Site folder.

Now do File / Import / Hierarchical Import / Next / Update, Text Comma Delimited, ANSI , browse for the file you just saved / Next and then Next/OK to all subsequent windows. This should substitute for the Snapshot import.
