Running 2 sites open at the same time

We currently Run our E-shop through actinic and would like to continue using it to do so, however we also wish to start the design work for our second site,

is it possible to have 2 instances of actinic running on one machine??

i cant seem to do it,

No, need a second machine, unless you go down the virtual window messy route. Nothing to stop you setting it up on a 2nd machine and dialing in remotely to that machine from the main one though, you get what you want then, indirectly.

thats a bit messy for us,

seems a shame that you can have the multi site functionality but you cant edit them simultaneously, maybe an idea for the future??

Realisticaly its only a couple of mins max between changing sites in MU

You could create a 3rd "master" site and use something like CodePath's Site Clone to allow you to do simultaneous updates to both sites.

My apologies myabe i didnt explain myself clearly enough,

With our company we have 4 or 5 websites that we run all different address etc, and would like to bring them under the umbrella of actinic,

However we would like to have maybe 2 or more sites open on the editing computer at the same time

If they are at the same release then you can only open 1 site at once on 1 PC. You can however have multiuser which will give you more flexibility but still only one administrator.
