cant get sage pay to work

    cant get sage pay to work

    there is probably a really simple solution to this but i can't find it.

    I have just uploaded a new site built in v10 to over ride the v9 version i previously had running. (i lost snapshot of the the v9 version when my hard drive failed, i know, i know). SO had to start a fresh!!

    i have sucessfully got paypal to work but can't get sage pay to process a payment.

    when i try to 'confirm order' from the basket i get this message:

    This transaction attempt has failed. We are unable to redirect you back to the web store from which you were purchasing. The details of the failure are given below.

    Status: INVALID

    Status Detail: 5005 : The Vendor configuration is missing or invalid.


    i have entered the secret key and the encryption code as obtained from sage pay this morning so i know they are correct.

    what have i forgotton?

    It sounds as if you're still in test mode.

      Thanks, it does indeed sound like the same problem, however i shouldn't be in test mode, the account has been up and running for years and i had no issues with it up until now.

      i will contact sage and see what is going on thier end.

        OK. It could also be this:

        been working through this for a few hours. Figured it out in the end.

        Turns out this is a simple fix. My only mistake was Inputting my Merchant account number into Actinic Merchant id field instead of the vendor name provided by SagePay.

        A simple mistake, hopefully my mistake can help someone else.

          Thank you - have it sorted.

          the merchant id was one of the problems, the other was the transaction type, i had the wrong one selected for my account type.

          i knew it would be something simple.
