Hi,

Is it possible to setup Actinic to allow users to buy a greater quantity of any product than is currently held in stock?

I want to display a message stating that extra stock will be ordered in and that customers will have to wait longer.

However, I still want the order to go through.

Is it possible to display a 'delay' message as well?

Create your own variable and display it in the layout if it is filled out using a blockif to check its contents. You then fill that out with your custom text where you want it to show.

To be honest, that might be a bit advanced for me...

p.s. by setting the 'suspend' value to a minus figure, Actinic no longer seems to realise that something isn't in stock and doesn't display the out of stock message.

Am I chasing a lost cause?

If you want actinic to treat something as in stock, you can't take it out of stock. You're going to need to spend to do what you want i suspect. In short you want actinic to say out of stock, but still allow ordering with a message relaying that. It doesn't do that as standard.
