Is there a variable associated with this checkbox that I could use in a blockif to display a message on the product page?

Select the design tab, click on the blue button (V with a + sign on it) and you will get a list of available variables.

Thanks Lee. I have already looked at that and couldn't see anything that resembled the description.

I posted in case I have missed something. I guess the answer is no and it is a built in function that is not accessible with blockifs?

Probably not accessible then i guess, might have to make your own variable instead.
