Hash tag in links causing probs in Safari

Hi, have upgraded our site to v10 & have a problem when viewing the site in Safari. On our homepage, we have a number of linked products created using Actinic's new product listing tool (so they're auto generated), in IE these links work correctly & go to the relevant page however in Safari, the link just jumps to the bottom of the same page.

The links appear to have an additional # and then the product code on the end eg /#aTH0006. These links still work in IE but not in Safari, we believe it is a bug however Actinic Support say these are industry standard bookmarks & it's a prob we need to report to Safari.

It also happens in the search results, the link just jumps to the end of the page. Any idea why v10 adds these bookmarks to the end of a perfectly good URL & if there is anything I can do to remove them?

    Thanks.

The search results jump is not a bug, it's because the search form is at the bottom of the page and the code places your cursor in the search field and thus it bounces down the page. This has been a longstanding issue, most people remove the form to stop this, further details in the forum if you are interested in doing that.

Do you have an example URL so we can take a look too? They're right the # is a common and long standing way of doing anchors on the page. I suspect your problem is something else, perhaps a character in the product ref that shouldn't be there ideally or maybe even not allowed.
