    Two Versions on1 computer

    Hello,

I have three Actinic sites - one for the UK, one for the USA and one for Australia

I want to install both the UK and USA version 10 on my laptop to take advantage of the different shipping tables and lists of payment providers.

    How can this be achieved?

    Thanks

    Leon

By walking to the bottom of the garden, finding Aladdin's lamp and giving it a jolly good rub. If you can't find that, then look for the tooth fairies and see if they're up for a bit of moonlighting.

These are about your best chances of doing it, alternatively run a second machine.

Surely if these are three separate websites you would need three Actinic licences to stay within their T&C's as well?

The business Plus version which I have allows the option "to manage multiple online stores with a single licence". However the scope of options for different countries is limited. You can have multiple currencies on the UK version, however there are not multiple payment provider or shipping options to back this up. For example, you can select Australian dollars as the site currency, but there are no specific payment providers etc related specifically to Australia once this choice has been selected.

Paying for additional licences to cover these limitations is obviously not a feasible option. I will just have to set it up manually.

Its a shame, I am mobile and have to manage Actinic in various overseas locations. A second machine is not feasible. Maybe a plugin needs to be developed by one of the providers or Actinic to give the software more flexibility in consideration of the global nature of eccommece and the options nowdays to outsource your fufillment to different countries.

I guess your middle solution is to have a master PC per site and dial into these remotely. You effectively run them all on one machine then, only way i can think of, unless you investigate virtual drives and windows etc. all gets a bit messy though then IMO. I also much prefer this idea because you don't have 3 businesses sitting on one single point of failure.
