Importing Orders - Admin Password Required???

Im trying to import some orders from a csv file on my desktop, first it asked if i had backed up my orders - so i did that and did an export of the site just in case.

Then when i started to import the csv order file it asked me for an admin password.

I dont have one? its asked me for this before, and shortly afterwards the software screwed up and left me completely up the creek!

I havent ever set a password and cant import my orders without it.

Anyone able to shed any light??

    Many thanks

the 'login' box comes up with:

    Data Source
    Authorisation
Login name: 'admin' (which can be overtyped)
Passwrod (which is blank asking me for one)

then 'ok' 'cancel' database' 'help' down the right hand side

the only one thats useful is database, which then takes me to the file tree, but wont let me choose any other file type so i cant pick my csv file.

    did this help?

The order import facility has always needed you to point to a database in my experience, not a csv.

No take the simple route and import them direct from the database they are already in. Beware it replaces all orders in there, it's not an append solution, it's an overwrite solution. If you're looking to append i think you're stuffed and can't. Read the tooltip on the area, will explain what you need to know.
