Best method to implement accounts registration form?

I've been reading through a few threads, there are different suggestions such as using mailform and the script to generate a form then send the details back, some said duplicate the contact us form and edit it. But the dates for those threads are quite old now..

So I would like to ask if there is any modern way of doing it?
All that needs is a button on the top right to link to the form, the form which allows users to input their details, then sumit button to send over the details to an email address.

It would be great if anyone could point me to a direction (I tried the new product registration method and not keen on it..)

    Thanks in advance!

Machform is ideal for this. You can see an example on a client site here:

The form is simply placed in a text only fragment.

Machform is very powerful and very easy to use. The customer gets a confirmation email, you get an email with the details and you can also download all completed forms in csv format. It's cheap and easy to setup but does require an SQL database on your hosting.

It looks very neat.. hmm, but is there any solution with just scripts?

Go with Machform, forget any other ideas. You can't have just scripts with no form!

I think V11 will have this and should be in beta testing soon. Unless you need this urgently I'd just wait for that rather than have to do it all again in a few months.

Oh sorryyyy, what I meant was like either use a simple form thats generated from a script or like perhaps make another contact us page and edit it?
Its £29 and i'm not sure if its well justified..

              Very understandable.

You could create your own form very simply in php. An example is here http://www.freecontactform.com/email_form.php or I'm sure you can find lots of other examples.

I'm not sure i can have an agreeable discussion with someone who thinks that £29 for machform is not justified, i'd say it is one of if not the best £29 you could ever spend online, i think it is truly stunning value for what it does.

Having an up to date script from a cross scripting point of view and captcha on a form with no hassle has to be worth the money alone, let alone the GUI, how easy they are to setup (will take you longer to search for one that to create one) and the free installation service.

Millions of people use machform, you're the first to have ever questioned it in my experience.

V11 will probably be jumped on by the masses in the new year, so i guess you're going to be using whatever solution you choose for 6 months or so.

The problem isn't that I'm questioning Machform's function or value, it is that I simply cant authorise to purchase the software, not even £2.9 lol.. boss is away on holiday and I can only work with resources that are free / already bought. If my boss approves to use machform i dont see why i would want myself to go into messing with the forms myself
