    Pricing to 3 decimal places

    Hi

Is it possible to use prices to 3 decimal places?

    Thanks

Prices are entered in whole units. So Pennies in the UK.

Are you trying to do something that needs it done differently?

I sell quite low value items, but I sell them by the 1,000. What i was wanting was something allong the lines of 1,000 @ 7p each, 2,000 @ 6.5p each, 3,000 @ 6.2p each, etc.

You're stuck with pennies being the lowest without fractions of pennies I think.

The only thing you can do is to sell in bundles, such as:
        1000 for £70
        2000 for £65
        3000 for £62

OK thanks for the replies guys.

The only problem in selling in bundles is that I allow customers to buy whatever quantity the want (eg they could buy 2,739 if they wanted)

I think i'm going to have to have 2 products, one allowing them to buy upto 999 and a second product in bundles of 1,000, so the could buy 2 bundles of 1,000 and 739 individual items from the other product.

You might also want to consider the option where a customer can enter the number they want and you then run some javascript to break that down into the nearest number of units of say 10 at 62p.

Norman's already down most of the work for you in this thread http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=2655 . In this case for selling cloth by length but the principal is the same.

The instructions are for an earlier version of Actinic so you might need to do some checking as you go.

You can also do some discounts for quantity. For example, over 1,000 saves 5%, over 2,000 10%, etc.
