This is probably a fairly simple question but how to you change the add to cart button on items as the default one looks very dated?

This depends on what design/theme you're using, but if you already have buttons as opposed to text/CSS links then the simplest way to do this is to replace the add-to-cart image with one of your own, keeping the name of the image the same. Snapshot first. -
I am using silver theme in version 10.

When I go to settings site options and look at the image it directs me to: this image is a different image to the one that appears on my site.Comment

When I right click the button and do view image info it says:
http://www.morgansgunroom.com/acatal..._addtocart.gif
Just replace that image with another one of the same size (take a snapshot first and copy the original image to somewhere else, too).
Can I also suggest that you name your product images more usefully? Image names and alts are used in SEO, so that image on that page could be named something like brady-sandringham-game-bag.gif. SEs will use anything they can on your page to work out what it is about. Having images named GC50016.gif don't say anything about the product to anyone but you
