VAT for non EEC but dont want to show VAT free prices in store

Hello, we are just about to launch a new website having just moved over to actinic.We sell to the public, not trade. We want to show VAT inclusive prices on the web store only, Then for sales outside of the EEC , we want to take off the vat when the customer selects a delivery address. (outside of the EEC).

Is this a simple thing? I am led to believe it is not straightfoward ? I know we can show nett and gross prices in the store and do it that way but I really do not want to do this.

The tax tab in Business settings is where you define what tax rates for which countries, make sure tax and shipping is setup for the countries and should be no problem. The inbuilt help is very good in this area too, well worth a read.

You need to enter prices including VAT and Actinic will sort out the rest based on the country tax settings.
