    Black Bars using Flash

    Hello,

    I have embedded flash for a short demo animation into a fragment using the following:

    !!<<object classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" width="600" height="600" >
    <param name="movie" value="http://www.schoolofcolor.com/acatalog/page 1 title page.swf">
    <param name="quality" value="high"><param name="scale" value="exactfit">
    <embed src="http://www.schoolofcolor.com/acatalog/page 1 title page.swf" width="600" height="600" align="top" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></embed>
    </object>>!!

    However, I am getting a black bar at the top and the bottom of the animation. Please see here http://www.schoolofcolor.com/acatalo...Book_Demo.html

    I have tried everything that I can think of and followed dozens of google suggestions but they won't go.

    Can anyone help?

    Cheers

    I replied to you directly about this.

    Change the width to 600 and the height to 450 and the flash will then fit the object size.

      Anyway that has done the trick. Thank you very much

      cheers

        what can I say? I'm sitting here reading this on an ipad. Don't use flash, it won't work for 20% of smartphone users and 75% of people using tablets.

          Convert it to video, host it on YouTube and embed that.
