    Trial Server Expired

I have bought the full actinic product and was using the trial server, I didn't realise this was only valid for 30 days. The site isn't finished yet and I need the test link to show live changes.

Is it possible to extend the trial or get another one?

Best to contact Actinic directly to see if it can be extended.

Failing that start another trial and upload to that.

You will need to arrange your store hosting in any case so why not do that now?

I know but its not quite ready, I'm not sure how to set up a robots.txt file with actinic to stop G indexing it.

You can put this in a robots.txt file:
        User-agent: *
        Disallow: /

and place it in the root of your site.

Otherwise you can upload in test and Actinic will add a disallow meta tag in the code if your design is a standard theme.

Oh right cool, thanks for the help, im used to deamweaver so the whole actinic is a little foreign to me. When you say place in the root, do you mean place it in the site1 folder?

No it needs to go up onto your server at the root level where a visitor would land for your domain name. You will need to FTP the file up manually.

Can this be done with actinic software or will I need a third party ftp programme like dreamweaver?

Actinic can't do it. Use any third party FTP client.
