    Automatic Shop by brand section

Can I make Automatically filling shop by brand pages in a similar way to the NEW products and best sellers pages, to automate creation of the shop by brand pages?

I want to create a section layout in which I specify the Brand Variable and it shows all the products from that brand.

It would also be good to automatically link to the Brand page with a hyperlink from each brand page.

Not possible as a standard feature, you can have custom work completed to do it for you, much depends on the number of products as the processing required could get considerable. If you do not subsection off your products within the brand sections, the brand pages would just be the products in any order, you'd have no control of that.

Your only way as standard is to copy a product and 'paste as duplicate' into a brand section manually.

you could just use the 'search' button..
If each product had the brand name in the description, you could create a search button for each brand.. All items by that brand would be returned by the search... The search results list is not as nice as a proper page but this would be a quick way to return all items in the brand you choose.

I recently set up 'shop by brand' pages for a client which automatically selected products based on a two character code prefix to the product reference. It uses some php to query the database to create the pages prior to upload. The store has quite a few different brands so it takes a few extra minutes to generate the brand pages but it means the client doesn't need to configure anything when new products are added etc.

Certainly do-able. I posted on the community regarding making each product in the Search Results buyable so you could use that technique in conjunction with Marks suggestion.
