    Customvar populated by Actinic Variable

Is there any way to create a UDV with an initial value of that of say ProductReference?

In light of the cataclysmic 22nd September Google feed requirements the Google Part Numer is the same as the existing ProductReference (used as the Google ID) .. so populating the UDV Google Part from ProductReference seems ideal.

Tried copy n paste the full expanded variable and wrapping in !!<>!! but these get passed through the google export as plain text.

You can't use the product reference as the google unique product id unless you product reference already happens to be one of the valid fields allowed. These articles have some details :

Unique Product Identifier - UPC/EAN/ISBN or MPC and Brand.
Details at http://moleend.helpserve.com/index.p...leid=196&nav=0 (Mole End article) and http://www.google.com/support/mercha...&answer=160161 (Google)

But I'll assume that you still want to use product reference.

You cannot initialise a new variable to the product reference, however you could create a flat import file and make a copy of the product reference column and give it the name of the new variable and import it (create this in access or with our actinic import / export mash from the product mash product)

You could also use the Mole End product mash to list on google, you can use macros with the mash definition to tell it to substitute a particular actinic field (so product reference for you) in the output.

      Sorry - meant "mpn"

I thought it wasn't possible but worth asking. I have done the hierarchical import (flat wont do the UDV) but it would have been handy to not have to remember in the future when adding new products.
