mapping

afternoon guys!

does anyone know if its possible to export mapping from one site and import to another? or maybe as simple as copying a file from the site in question and overwriting in the new site

What do you mean by export mapping? If it's the settings you specify when you import a hierachical import, you can save each tab to file and read the appropriate file on the other site as you import it.

i mean, export as in, as you would if you exported your nextwork settings and then imported them to another site.

I import my products using a flat file import. i have a site where i have set up a number of different mapping sequences. im working on a new site and would like to use some of the same mapping sequences but, unless i really have to, didnt want to have to set them all up again in a new site.

In that case I'm pretty sure you can export to file from the import dialog, I'm out of the office today and so can't check.

The mappings aren't saved in files. They're entries in the ImportMappings table in the Actinic database. Shouldn't be hard to copy them over to another site but backup first and handle with care..
