Seriously though... sounds pretty messed up... Do as Tracey says and post a screenshot of the content tree for this item... expand the tree fully so we can see whats going on.

And on the website I get an 'illegal combination' error. What's that about?

This smacks a little of an OLD issue from some time ago.

and see if this might shed some light on this issue.
It was something to do with the component sequence ID's if I recall, although I thought this had been addressed some time ago.
It may not be the same issue, however I thought I'd raise this one here just in case.

It could be.

I see lots of deleted choices in the screenshot. I wonder if a purge of deleted content would clean it up.

It might be worth upgrading from V10.0.2 to V10.0.4 as there were a lot of bug fixes in V10.0.3 I believe, although no idea if your current problem was one of them.
