Parse Error - New Products List

    Hiya,

Just wondering if anyone can help with the following:

I have used some code as per this thread - http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=43818 - to remove the embedded html tags (!!<) that show up on the New Products List.

It has worked, except that any products that contain a link or image in the description, it brings up a 'parse error' where the description should be.

For example, I cannot add this product to the New Products list because of the image/link button that i have at the top http://www.avrmobiles.co.uk/acatalog...h_car_kit.html

Does anyone know if there is a way around this?

    Thanks.

Create a separate product layout for this purpose instead of using the one global layout and adding what you want into it. That code can then be outside of the description field and present no issues. Details in the inbuilt help on creating new product layouts, just copy existing one and add your html directly into that instead.

Otherwise put the button below some standard text so that it misses the word count used in the New Products listing.

Hi Duncan, how are you? Thanks for replying. I've tried moving the button further down the page under some standard text, but it still has the error. It just seems to not like the fact that the button is there.

Think i may have to go with Lee's suggestion and create a new layout.

        Thanks.
