I used to be able to click on something in split view on the design tab and it would be selected in the code panel below. What the heck have I changed that it doesn't do this any more?

Have you put some java script in the layout? This can disable the ability to select layouts in preview mode. I usually put a blockif around js to prevent Actinic trying to execute it in preview mode.Steve Griggs.

this doesnt help you... but the same has happened to me.
I used to be able to click in design view and the relevant code become highlighted..
Stopped working for me too but I thought I was mistaken until I saw this post.
No javascript in layout.Comment

I have some javascript eg visitor tracking, but the block if makes no difference.Comment
