BOGOF; trigger vs reward!

Basically we are trying to set up a buy 10 Tuplex Underlay get one Tuplex Underlay free. Here's the problem; I can't select the reward product to be the same as the trigger product.

Has anyone got a solution to this? Perhaps if I were to make the free underlay a separate product and have it hidden on the site would it still be useable?

You know the price of the product, so have a trigger of 11 with a discount equivalent to the price of one product?

Shame it won't work in such way, we've settled for 10% off on orders of 10 or more instead, but thanks for the alternative suggestion!
