How to enable search on any part of a word?

Hi, when you search products on our website, you only get the full results if you use an entire product name or the first part of the product name. If you search using the end of a product name, it doesn't show the product in the search results.

Eg we have a product called Ecstatea. If you search for 'tea', it doesn't appear in the results. If you search for 'ecsta', then it does show in the results.

This is the same for all the prods - another eg: we sell dried pineapple. If you search for pine, then dried pineapple comes up in the results. If you search for apple, then it doesn't.

Is there a way to alter this?

Unfortunately not. I suggest you make sure you use these key words in your product description and make that searcheable.

Thanks for your reply - so for example with the tea, I would need to call it 'Ecstatea tea' to make it appear when someone searches for tea?

Also, can you confirm how I make the prod name searchable, just to be sure I've got that covered?

      Thanks.

You can choose what's indexed in Settings - Search Settings.
