Paid for orders via paypal NOT showing pending

had a couple of paypal payments show up in pending PSP when they have in fact been completed payments. Very frustrating as customers have paid for goods we're not shipping to them

Anybody got any ideas as to why this is happening?

We get this all the time and it is across different payment methods as well - PayPal, Actinic and WorldPay.

Never found reason why.

we have had this with certain card payments, where we have to authorise the payment - but dont know unless we look at the processing system

even if we approve, we have to manually allocate payment in Actinic
