It's not at all clear what you're trying to do (which is probably why no-one answered - vague posts tend to get skipped in preference to well defined ones). Try reposting and explain in detail what you're doing and what all those "it"s mean.

        Hi Norman.

I hadn’t uploaded Google Shopping Feed for a while so i uploaded a new feed that was rejected as i was missing a "availability" attribute and a "shipping" attribute. I went into my Design/Library items and created a new variable for the "availability" with no problem but when i tried to create one for "shipping" it says there is already one. Ive had a good look through the varables and there isnt one called shipping so a created one under the name of shipping2 to make sure i could but google wont accept the feed when i upload it as its not called "shipping" .

message from Google: Shipping must be specified in the 'shipping' attribute or in your account settings with a default shipping method selected for each targeted country

        Hope this is enough info

        Cheers
        Ricc.

I've had a good look through the variables and there isn't one called shipping
Best way top do that is Help / Variable Reference Guide / Search and you'll see that there is one called Shipping which is for the cart total. So that variable isn't going to be of use to you.

You seem to need a product specific shipping charge. Is this so? If not, you can set default charges as per the message from Google above.

Also, if you're creating a text feed for Google, then you can use any name you like for the shipping column and simply rename that entry in the first line of the text-file before submitting.

As Norman says. That's what I do. Sometimes I forget so Google reject the feed but then it's just a case of making the change and resubmitting.

I don't think that Sellerdeck support the shipping attribute so you would need to add it as a custom var (you can look the format up on the google site - it's not just a weight, it's got several parts) and add it to each product, if every product has the same then you can just put one entry as a default to save time. My product mash includes it.

On the same topic of Google feed submitted to Google Merchant Center, is there any point in submitting a feed if the country you reside in is not one that is covered in the list of Merchant Center countries?
I reside in South Africa and it is not in the list of "supported" countries, I have the feed listed as the UK, but I am ot sure if I am just wasting my time submitting it???

All working now guys. I had to create a shipping attribute within Google itself to get it to accept the feed.

                    Thanks for all your help.
