    Address Line 1 error

    Hi

    Domain: www.gprsmodems.co.uk

When a customer was filling out name and address an error was thrown up on the next page. The perl script running is oS000001.pl. I tried to mimic the problem and realised it only happens on a particular word . The 1st line of the address is "28 Casino Rd". If "28 Casino" is typed no error, if 28 Casino followed by a space is typed an error occurs. If you mispel the word to 28 Casimo Rd all is fine.

Please see exact error message below:

    Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /cgi-bin/os000001.pl could not be found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Regards
    John A.

This is related to your hosting company using an apache server add-on called mod_security which is probably blocking the request because it is picking up "casino" as a possible spam keyword and returning the "Not Acceptable" server error. The mod_security add-on can be disabled via .htaccess (depending on the version) but it is probably best to discuss the issue with your hosts.

Many thanks for your prompt reply. I noticed other words not allowed for example" 28 Poker Rd!!. I will edit the htaccess file after discussion with the provider.
      Many thanks again
