    Catalog tracing is switched on.

On loading a recent snapshot from a customer using SellerDeck (Actinic )V10 Catalog I am now getting this error message on startup in Designer V10.

    Catalog tracing is switched on.
Tracing can severely affect the performance.
It is highly recommended to enable tracing only when advised.

Previous snapshots and other sites are ok so there must be something in the snapshot to trigger this message. Actinic appears to run as fast as normal so maybe a false msg. I assume the tracing refers to ODBC database tracing as I cannot find any references within Actinic itself.

I can disable the message from within the database but cannot find the trigger .
Have compacted/repaired database etc but error msg persists.

    Any clues appreciated !

      Thanks for the reply Jules.

I am aware of that thread and on checking, tracing was not running in ODBC.
I would think that ODBC tracing would have to be set up locally rather than transferred via a snapshot ?

I am planning to visit customer to see if I can find anything on the originating pc..........

Thanks Louise that did the trick !

I missed that item in the troubleshooter ... looking to hard !

I don't think my customer would have set that up so I'm assuming a windows gremlin ....

          Thanks again.
