    Changing Hosts

I know this has been covered many times before, however I am a complete dunce and am having a few problems.

    1) We have 3 websites on actinic v10 and each are currently hosted by 3 different companies

    2) We have signed up with ipage.com and need to move these websites under one umbrella and also upload templates for our ebay pages.

    3) So I went into our smallest website first and followed the web site configuration - however got stuck saying that there was an error sending the http files. There were no problems with internet or new host server.

    4) So i am guessing it is my input problems.... I am guessing that the CGI-BIN files are held at each of the current hosts and I need to ask them to "kindly" send them to me before I can go any further? Am I on the right track?

    Hi Deborah,

You could contact SellerDeck sales to find out how much hosting with us would cost. That would certainly save you hassle.

I have just tried the test and the error message i get is as follows
Unable to move the online store folder "../httpdocs/" on the FTP server possibly due to a mistake in the Path from the CGI-BIN to Online Store Folder Field. the specified directory does not exist or you do not have access to the directory.

We are chatting online to our new web host ipage.com and the CGI-Bin has been changed to permissions 755 but they say everything else is correct so i am stuck.

        Any suggestions

Ok - I have been trying to upload this through the wizard and we progress through Priority setup, Download ISP Configuration file, FTP setup and website address. then after the directories file where on the left we have / and underneath
          +abc
          +acatalog
          +cgi-bin
          +ebay
          +stats
and on the right we have
          CGI-BIN Directory
          >> cgi-bin/
          Web root directory
          >> /
when we press next it searched the directories and we get the following error message

An error occurred while sending an HTTP request to the web server. Perhaps your network isdown or the web server is down. Try again or contact your network administrator or ISP to correct the situation.

we have checked that our own inter net is working and the web host server is working so it must be something on the configuartion.

We also tries with a temporary ISP that the web host gave us but got even more errors as follows

An error occurred while attempting to change permissions of the file ActinicBaseCgiTest.pl.
The FTP server returned a reply code of 550
the current permissions of the file 0644 are the required permissions are 0755
the connection wizard will not continue
please configure your network settings through the Advanced / newtoek Settings dialog
Contact your Actinic reseller or Actinic Support as appropriate for any assistance that you may require.

This is my first upload to this new server and we have checked with them and the cgi-bin is set at 755. Where do we enter the permissions for the acatalog folder to be 777 as i understand that actinic should create this folder in the upload?

              Nearly there

Ok - finally managed to complete the set up wizard - I had to remove smtp details for emails and pressed finish.
(aIl done on a temporary URL )
however the there are no files on the acatalog?
              why not?
what do I need to do now?
