thats what the beta is for - you download and test on your own servers. The more that do the more bugs might be found before production release

the upside you get to see what the new features are like

I know thats what its for but not everyone is in the position to upload V11 straight away.

you can install it next to other versions, import a snapshot then switch it to test mode. This means you can upload it to your own server and not interfer with a live site.

You are welcome to have a look at http://actinic-beta.toddesigns.co.uk/, which is currently running under V11 Alpha2 but will be updated shortly to V11 Beta.

Demo site

That's quite impressive so far on the demo site (http://actinic-beta.toddesigns.co.uk/). Look forward to trying out the beta version and seeing how some of the new features work. First impression is that checkout looks a lot "smoother" in operation.

i managed to install the beta by upgrading the alpha with no issues. Im sure i read this could not be done with the alpha but all seems to be working.

Although i am having issues with a hieracal import - FAIL time to submit

I have done the same, the current version of the site is the new beta with spp turned on for all the products, this is the basic V10 site that you get with a new install but with some of our plug ins to test with V11.

Only problem we had with the upgrade was it was very slow to operate but since shutting down yesterday it is now running fine, bit odd and probably an offshoot of upgrading from Alpha.

I like the SPP system it works well but I would like to be able to set the defaults to work across the site.

The new coupons work well as does the checkout and the order tracking, not tried the mega menu yet still working out how to use it. Definitely a good improvement on V10.

Just tried to report a problem on the "Get Satisfaction" site, and that's crashing IE + not loading properly in FF.

It's working OK for me now, my PC was installing a windows update unknown to me.
The problem has been posted on GS now.

Business Plus

Hi, well thanks for getting V11 Beta out to us and eager to dive in. On installation given a choice of catalog or Business. Could not see Business plus which allowed multi user in V10, is this all combined in V11, Business Plus is now dead, or just not in this Beta?

The test keys for V11 beta include Business and Business Plus so it appears to be alive and well

Don't know what you mean by test keys. Have not seen any on the beta page. I am just trying out the 30 day evaluation. If there are test keys, can you provide a link.
